About this work
The 'Eye of God' (Oculus) is a circular opening in the center of a dome or in a wall. It is a feature of Byzantine and neoclassical architecture. This work is based on the Domed ceiling of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Istanbul, Turkey.
This painting by presents a vibrant, symmetrical composition centered around a luminous blue sphere. Arcs of warm orange and red radiate outwards, framed by cooler tones of teal and lavender. Geometric forms, reminiscent of architectural domes and arches, create a sense of depth and structure, while the smooth color transitions lend a soft, ethereal quality to the abstract design. The interplay of light and shadow within the curved planes adds a dynamic visual rhythm.
